Illegal poaching is largely driven by poverty and unemployment within smaller communities that lie next to wildlife reserves and parks.
What we stand for.
Dream it.
It begins with an idea for a solution. If we can find and source more sustainable ways to eliminate illegal harvesting in protected areas, then we can turn a major source of wildlife population decline into an answer to protecting remaining species.
Build it.
Growth takes time. We started our mission on a small instagram platform that gave us the opportunity to voice our concerns and open minds into better conservation practices. “The unseen Africa”. We took a new approach into showing what goes on and raw truths about illegal poaching.
Grow it.
From an instagram platform to real-life. We took committed individuals who saw an opportunity in what we were doing to go the next step. Donations have boosted our ability to support anti-poaching units, daily patrols in wildlife reserves and buy necessary items like hardy boots and other equipment for the rough terrain in most areas.
Fight for it.
Meat drops, job opportunities, litter and plastic collection, soccer balls and provision of water have all been parts of a larger puzzle. Individually these items have been a steppingstone to gain trust in communities and fighting towards working for the same goals.
Love it.
You have to have a love for the natural environment to truly understand why we are protecting it. We work with communities that live off the land and have a deep knowledge base of how intricate relationships between the rain, the plants and the wildlife are.
Share it.
True growth can only be achieved through the sharing of what we do and what you can do to help us. Documenting where each step has taken us has been a key factor into illuminating the path towards sustainable conservation practice and the protection of wildlife.
